Comrades and Friends,
Br. 617's

Branch 617 held its Christmas party on December 14th and the Veterans got to celebrate Christmas as well on Monday, December 15, 2008. With the help of the Zone D5 Commander Phil Richmond (as Santa), Gina Nolan-Probert (Mrs. Claus) Kevin McLean, Donna Waite, Linda Richmond, Alice McGee and myself were Elves and our little mascot - Louie (Phil and Lynda’s dog ) we set off with the Christmas gifts for the Veterans and Residents at the Tony Stacey Centre

It was truly a privilege to be there and we were met with such smiles, laughter, tears of joy and a wonderful sense of comradery, that is so hard to describe in words.A great deal of effort went into putting this together and I for one was overwhelmed at being in their presence and I know that all of us had the same experience from being there.
They were so pleased to see us, and so appreciated their gift. The whole event could not have been achieved without everyone’s support
to everyone that donated, you made a difference and the veterans and residents of the T.S.C. really appreciated it and so did I.
